Tio has been holding me down for the past 2 weeks in a way I can't explain - the feeling of summer/spring in the composition as a whole has such a peaceful yet energising warmth to it.
Rainmakers is such a beautiful example of the sheer brilliance of African Jazz. it has such an unwavering fireyness to it while still maintaining immense depth in the instrumentation and in the emotion it speaks to.
I don't know who DOMi and JD Beck are and Why their music Slaps sooo HARD but maaan I happy their music has reached me.
WIN by BEAM - when I found this track 3 months ago, it was all I listened to for 7 days straight. The Energy this track gives off has an air of youthful recklessness which is wild cause every single time I listen to this track I bounce between that feeling and an intensely egocentric focus on my goals, that can only really be captured by the modern tenets of hustle culture. In other words this BUMPS.
I could probably say more about the music on this playlist but instead I'll let you listen and make up your own mind.
Tracks with Must Listen Albums behind them: Tio, Torn Tapestries, Rainmakers, Dide O, Not So Modern Times, PiLOT.
