'Charcoal & Ink' and will feature Wildeberg chef, lifestyle photographer and very talented illustrator artist, Hennie van Loggerenberg explaining his eclectic mix of beautiful artwork. Hennie also just happens to have the biggest heart. Married to his soulmate, Katie, together they provide foster care to 5 children, two of whom they have recently adopted.
After studying food & art management in Pretoria, Hennie’s first job was running a tented camp in Mpumalanga. It was here, in the great South African bushveld, that his love for venison based dishes bloomed! Over the years he has experienced all types of kitchen, from premium guest houses to private hospitals. While working in Eastern Europe, he also developed an appreciation for simplistic, vibrant food.
Although cheffing has been Hennie’s central passion for a while now, his love for art never left him and he has done sketches for book publications and continued to paint with acrylics when when we he has had time. A few years ago he made the life decision to explore photography and private cheffing as a career. He also returned to his first art love - charcoal and ink!
Come and enjoy an evening with him as he entertains you with his stories (and food) while you also feast your eyes on his most recent works.
